The puppies were at the gate as soon as we drove up!! The two small children across the street were playing in the yard and Al heard one of them yell for BOTH dogs. He said he distinctively heard TWO names, but, he couldn’t tell what the names were! I think we can be rest assured that Honey does belong to them. This makes me happy. \"\" ( Honey is saying Yay!)<\/p>\n

Returning after a month, I’ll admit, I had some concerns about Dog-Tired.\"\"\u00a0 Leaving a trailer on 50 acres by itself for nearly a month, I wasn’t so sure what condition it might be in upon our return. But, there she was just sitting there waiting for us.\u00a0 The solar panels for whatever reason had been depleted of power.\u00a0 So, other than it being a bit warm inside, she was unscathed by humans and nature.\u00a0 We opted for lanterns our first night which was cozy.<\/p>\n

Al actually had to work.\u00a0 His first deployment from the property!\u00a0 It went well.\u00a0 No hiccups at all.\u00a0 This was a test and we passed!<\/p>\n

The grass had grown exponentially! So, mosquito’s and gnats were thriving. Mowing at the plateau was first on the agenda of tasks to accomplish on this trip.\u00a0 Actually May through September, mowing will be on the task list.\u00a0 There is a lot of land to mow!<\/p>\n

We then completed the exterior of Dog-Tired!\u00a0 Check it out!\u00a0 \"\" \"\" \"\" \"\"\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

This is another version of Dog-Tired.\u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

The birds apparently figured out how to use the feeder.\u00a0 It was completely empty!\u00a0 We decided we would venture out on Saturday to pick up more bird seed.\u00a0 We ended up making it a date night.\u00a0 We hit the Home Depot then, had dinner at a Mexican Restaurant called, No Way Jose.\u00a0 It was really good!\u00a0 I enjoyed getting out and exploring the area.\u00a0 This was 29 miles away and a 48 minute drive.\u00a0 Lord, I’m going to really need to be thorough on my grocery list.<\/p>\n

Sunday we checked out the shed.\u00a0 Neither one of us could remember what the heck was in it.\u00a0 We both thought it was pretty much empty.\u00a0 We thought wrong.\u00a0 It is packed with all kinds of trash, fan, heater….junk.\u00a0 We did find some really old nails though.\u00a0 We had to leave that project for next visit.\u00a0 We didn’t have the trailer with us on this trip so, we had no way of hauling off all the junk.\u00a0 We moved on to the Barn.\u00a0 Two stalls left to clean out.\u00a0 I began to tackle one of them while Al started mowing around the barns.\u00a0 The stall was, of course, full of hay.\u00a0 Scoop by scoop I emptied it out.\u00a0 Then, started bringing in the pipes, barbed wire and other miscellaneous things to store in it.\u00a0 Speaking of barn stalls,\u00a0 in one of the stalls there are nothing but some stakes.\u00a0 I found out that these stacks are tobacco stakes and are in high demand.\u00a0 Guess what?\u00a0 We have a ton of them!\u00a0\u00a0 \"\" \"\"\u00a0 We brought a bunch home with us to make various crafts.<\/p>\n

Only ONE stall left!!!\u00a0 It will have to wait until next trip.\u00a0 Progress!<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Al managed to eat up a chunk of fence with the mower!\u00a0 This stopped all progress for about an hour.\u00a0 That fence was nothing but a ball of wire by the time we got it untangled!\u00a0 #whatnotodowhenmowingonabigtractornextoafence\u00a0 We are still learning folks! Oh by the way, Pokey finally got branded.\u00a0 \"\" #lovemesomecricut<\/p>\n

We’ve notice that the birds, who have a gazillion trees to nest in, seem to prefer any and everything but a tree.\u00a0 I found this nest in one of the barn stalls.\u00a0 It’s in Al’s tool belt!\u00a0 \"\" \"\"\u00a0 Also, Al said he noticed a new nest under the bumper of Dog-Tired. We installed a camera on the top of the trailer this last trip and so far the birds seem extremely interested in it.\u00a0 We are wondering if they have built a nest by it!\u00a0 We have seen many birds since we left and we’ve seen the dogs one time heading to the pond. It’s nice being able to check out the property while away.<\/p>\n

Next trip — tackle that shed.<\/p>\n
