In my last blog I stated that I couldn’t wait to see what 2024 has to bring. Well, crazy weather is what it has brought us so far!<\/p>\n

About a week into the new year we had some serious wind and rain storms.\u00a0 The winds at times got up to 46 mph!\u00a0 With these winds we lost several trees.\u00a0 Granted we have tons of trees surrounding us but, it’s still sad to see them toppled over. \u00a0 They will become future firewood though.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Then, less than a week later, snow! LOTS of snow! We were very excited about getting snow honestly. We stay pretty stocked up on all necessities, etc.\u00a0 So we’ve been doing exactly what I have felt like doing since the New Year began….hibernating.\u00a0 Oh, I gave myself a manicure, colored my hair, took naps, blogged, did some cleaning and decorating here and there but, generally I’ve tried to just relax.\u00a0 It’s been quite nice. The snow has lingered for over a week now but, should be gone in a few more days.\u00a0 We haven’t received any mail or deliveries in over a week. It will probably feel like Christmas all over again!\u00a0 The main roads are pretty clear at this point but, it’s the small back roads that are the issue.<\/p>\n

Here are some pictures we have taken over the past week. I just think it’s so beautiful.\u00a0 \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The animals have felt zero discomfort from the cold and snow.\u00a0 We have all the dog houses heated and the cats have their own heated room.\u00a0 They are good.\u00a0 They don’t seem to mind playing out in it either.<\/p>\n

Gunner and Gracie just like to eat the snow.<\/p>\n

We are so happy that the basement is 95% complete.\u00a0 We live there on these cold days and nights.\u00a0 This stove is the best thing we could’ve done for this cabin! \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
