<\/a> The labs have sure enjoyed their new house. Especially the cold nights.<\/p>\nI refinished several pieces of furniture.\u00a0 I repainted my hutch.\u00a0 It needed some sprucing up.\u00a0 I never really did anything to it when I purchased it.\u00a0 It looks so much brighter.\u00a0 \u00a0 I still have a cabinet and a coffee table to strip and another cabinet to restore!<\/p>\n Oh, I processed some dandelions and made jelly. It’s so good!!\u00a0 I’m going to make more!! It truly is sunshine in a jar and it’s health benefits are wonderful! I try and process any flowers before vegetable season hits.\u00a0 It just gets too busy once the garden starts producing.<\/p>\n<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a> We already have a few sprouts coming through!!\u00a0 This week I will start the peas and beans.\u00a0 I am trying a new technique with them.\u00a0 You place the seeds in a ziplock bag with wet paper towels for a few days.\u00a0 They eventually sprout then, you just transfer them to soil. I’m going to see how well this works.<\/p>\n<\/a> <\/a> We have a volunteer and it’s parsley in my raised bed!\u00a0 It’s doing great! <\/a> Al is going to build me a flower box for the porch so I can grow the herbs in a convenient location. I’ll grow cilantro, parsley, dill and oregano.<\/p>\n<\/a> <\/a> The cats are doing wonderful.\u00a0 Spot got into it with some thing.\u00a0 We think possibly an opossum.\u00a0 I heard him screaming and ran out to where he was.\u00a0 This is how I found him. <\/a><\/a> He eventually came down and was not injured in anyway.\u00a0 Thank goodness.\u00a0 Tag and George have really warmed up to the puppies.\u00a0 They love rubbing up against them.\u00a0 The pups tolerate them very well.\u00a0 They just can’t run because then, the pups want to run after them!<\/p>\n<\/a> <\/a> Gunner and Gracie have grown so much and so fast!\u00a0<\/a> Recently they both got very upset stomachs and it went on for days.\u00a0 So, we took them to the vet.\u00a0 They did very well.\u00a0 Although they do tend to get sick on the ride.\u00a0 Herc was like that as well and he eventually grew out of it.\u00a0 I hope they do, too.\u00a0 So, after Al had freshly mowed the plateau there were chunks of grass and dirt laying around.\u00a0 The pups thought it was funny to pick a clump up and shake it all around.\u00a0 Well, that’s how they got sick.\u00a0 They got hook worms.\u00a0 Final treatment was today and I am happy to report they are all back to normal.<\/p>\n<\/a> <\/a><\/p>\n
