Hello Again!<\/p>\n

As I mentioned in my previous post, we’ve moved some furniture around to make way for some new pieces I acquired antiquing, and in turn, have some furniture available for the basement.<\/p>\n

It all started with this beautiful hutch I purchased from someone in Atlanta of all places!\u00a0 \u00a0We moved the credenza to the basement and this piece took its place in the great room.\u00a0 I fell in love with it. \"\"<\/a> Well, that got the ball rolling!\u00a0 I knew then that I wanted to fill the upstairs and loft with some antique pieces. Now, I needed a coffee bar cabinet.\u00a0 I wanted an old wash stand and my sister found me one in Jasper, GA.\u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The current end table has a rustic look so, it moved to the basement as well.\u00a0 I looked for a three legged side table but, could not find one anywhere.\u00a0 Then, this past weekend I stumbled on to this old cast iron stove.\u00a0 It fit perfectly. \"\"<\/a>\u00a0 The coffee table headed to the basement as well.\u00a0 One thing about this cabin is there just doesn’t seem to be enough storage space.\u00a0 I am always getting creative in trying to utilize every inch of this place in order to find more places to store things.\u00a0 So, I found this cedar chest at an antique store here in TN.\u00a0 \"\"<\/a>\u00a0 It had a bright red tint to it with multiple wet glass spots on the top.\u00a0 So, I ended up refinishing it.\u00a0 \u00a0I think it’s a beautiful piece and I can store my blankets and pillows in it!\u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

For the loft, again, I needed more storage so, I began to look for a hutch of some sort.\u00a0 I found this one through Facebook Marketplace.\u00a0 \"\"<\/a> I love it but, it’s now moving to the basement.\u00a0 I think a larger hutch would look better and again, storage.<\/p>\n

Now, you would think, “ok, she’s done”.\u00a0 Nope! Some random finds on my antiquing journey…<\/p>\n

I found this rocker that is over 100 years old!\u00a0 \"\"<\/a> I will refinish it and replace the leather seat. It will live in our bedroom.<\/p>\n

I also found this cabinet on Facebook Marketplace.\u00a0 I initially wanted to use it in the bathroom to store meds, etc. But, it was just too big for the only spot it could sit in. \"\"<\/a> I decided to replace the drawer fronts as some were practically falling off.\u00a0 This is a work in progress.\u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I have been wanting to learn to use some heavier tools so that I could help Al out with bigger projects.\u00a0 This will definitely get me started.\u00a0 I will be using a chop saw, table saw, planer, router and nail gun!\u00a0 I’ll show you this project when completed!\u00a0 It will either live in den area of the basement or my office.\u00a0 I’m thinking it would work great in storing all my craft stuff.<\/p>\n

Oh, I did find the perfect medicine cabinet for the bathroom last weekend.\u00a0 \"\"<\/a>\u00a0 It freed up so much space in the closet!<\/p>\n

I am still on the lookout for a cabinet to hold my turntable and albums.\u00a0 I would love to find an old victrola cabinet.\u00a0 I think that would be awesome.<\/p>\n

With all that said, the basement is almost completely furnished.\u00a0 We will only need to purchase a couch and loveseat.\u00a0 And, as a bonus, we were able to see parts of TN we probably would never have gone to see otherwise.\u00a0 It’s been quite the adventure!<\/p>\n
