Hello everyone!\u00a0 I am excited to say that this post will almost make me current!\u00a0 I have one, ok, maybe two, more after this one!\u00a0 Finally.\u00a0 It’s been fun reminiscing.\u00a0 I’ve enjoyed going through all the past photos figuring out which ones to share.\u00a0 Blogging is fun and enjoyable but, it can get stressful trying to find the right photos for what you are trying to convey.\u00a0 Heck, just hoping you even HAVE the right photo to post!\u00a0 I always have to remember when doing any task to TAKE A BEFORE PHOTO!\u00a0 I get so wrapped up in just starting the project that I sometimes forget to do that.<\/p>\n

Okay, on with Christmas…..It was definitely different this year to say the least.\u00a0 Not only was there Covid but, we were no longer in Georgia.\u00a0 I also had a brand new Grandbaby to see! \u00a0I drove down to Georgia a week before Christmas to spend some time with my girls and grand baby.\u00a0 Al came down a few days later and we had a quick Christmas breakfast (tradition) and opened our gifts from one another.\u00a0 It wasn’t the big celebration that we were accustomed to but, it was oh so sweet.\u00a0\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\u00a0Al had to do a same day turn around.\u00a0 We can’t leave the dogs inside the cabin for too long without a break.\u00a0 So, he arrived super early and stayed about 4 hours and then returned to the cabin.\u00a0 I came home the following day.<\/p>\n

Al then drove back to Georgia on Christmas Eve to pick up my youngest daughter.\u00a0 She wanted to spend Christmas here with us, how could I deny that?\u00a0 She was only able to stay a few days but, I was just so happy to have her here with us on Christmas day.\u00a0 We awoke early Christmas morning and could not believe our eyes.\u00a0 We had about 6 inches of snow fall throughout the night!\u00a0 It was going to be a white Christmas for us!\u00a0 The snow was incredibly beautiful.\u00a0 \"\" \"\" \"\"\u00a0\"\"\u00a0I was truly like a child on Christmas morning.\u00a0 Excited beyond measure.\u00a0 Al made a huge fire and we cooked a big breakfast, then we opened up our presents. \"\" \"\" \"\"\"\" \u00a0It was surreal really.\u00a0 The snow in abundance, the roaring fire and some of my family here to enjoy it with us.\u00a0 We took our poinsettia drinks out to the hot tub later in the day. I mean, who could resist?\u00a0 The snow was still coming down and well, how often do you get to soak in a hot tub with huge snow flakes pouring all around you?\u00a0 Dream. Come. True. \"\" It was definitely one for the books.\u00a0 We cooked a turkey and all the fixings for a early dinner.\u00a0 The best day ever.<\/p>\n

On to New Years….we had my sister, Edla and her husband Jerry come visit us on New Years Eve.\u00a0 We brought in the new year, ate our turnip greens and black eyed peas,\u00a0 \"\" \u00a0went antiquing and just relaxed in front of a fire.\u00a0 Not only did we enjoy their company, Herc and Teenie did as well.\u00a0\"\"\u00a0Their stay was very memorable. I was so happy to have so many family members come visit us over the holidays.\u00a0 It meant the world to us.<\/p>\n

I can only hope and pray that this new year, 2021, brings each one of us health, happiness and that this pandemic, if not over, then lessens a bit, so that we may have more of our freedoms back.\u00a0 That we may enjoy doing the things we love again,\u00a0 seeing the ones we love, shopping and going about our days “like it used to be”.\u00a0 \u00a0If we can bring anything positive out of this pandemic let us find a new appreciation of the people we love the most, the freedom to breathe fresh air and the giving and receiving of hugs and kisses freely.\u00a0 Never take a moment for granted.<\/p>\n

Preceding this post will be Part 3 and I will share with you all my Christmas Decor.\u00a0 Christmas is my favorite holiday for decorating so, I won’t apologize for the overload of pictures!<\/p>\n
