Ahhhh, love is in the air….. been showering Herc with lots of hugs and kisses.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\"\" This is the Big Guy heading home with Al after his surgery.\u00a0 He was so excited to see him!<\/p>\n

We spent the evening chilling by the fire. He was still feeling a bit groggy so, we didn’t want to get him too excited.\u00a0 Al slept on the floor with him his first and second night home.\u00a0 Best dog dad ever.\u00a0 \u00a0 \"\" \"\"\u00a0 He spent the following day in the basement with Al.\u00a0 That’s a normal day for him, lying by the woodstove while daddy works.\u00a0 \"\" I think he looks very handsome in his Valentine wrap.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

As you know, Valentine’s Day is this Sunday.\u00a0 Do you celebrate it?\u00a0 Decorate for it?\u00a0 I do both!\u00a0 I wanted to share some of my Valentine’s Day decor with you, as well as, show you a small DIY project that can be created for any holiday or occasion.\u00a0 It’s truly fast and simple.<\/p>\n

I found some cute vintage Valentine cards at an antique store and placed them in some little white frames. \"\" \"\" One was actually given to me by some guys from High School.\u00a0 I’m thinking 1977 -78? I remembered I had it so, I framed it as well.\u00a0 They sure brought back memories of having our little homemade boxes or bags for the classroom at school.\u00a0 Remember sitting at your desk watching to see who and what everyone placed in your box or bag?<\/p>\n

I found this little tree on Amazon. \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

I made the ornaments using a very simple Clay Recipe.<\/a> \u00a0Then, I used a small heart shaped cookie cutter to make the shape and then, painted them.\u00a0 I plan on doing some little eggs for Easter and stars for Memorial Day and July 4th. This tree will remain on the mantel for most of the year.\u00a0 All I’ll do is change out the ornaments!<\/p>\n

This larger tree I found at Oriental Trading Company<\/a> \"\" These ornaments were made with the same clay recipe but, I used several different sized heart shaped cookie cutters.\u00a0 I painted these white then, took some stain and wiped over them to give them a vintage look.\u00a0 \"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

I made some extras and used them as bowl fillers.<\/p>\n

My kitchen area ….<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\" \"\" \"\" \"\" \"\"\u00a0 \"\" This little digital print is from artist Tricia Robinson at TriciaRobinson.com<\/a>.\u00a0 \u00a0I have several of her prints for different holidays.\u00a0 I really love her work.<\/p>\n

The coffee area is one of my favorite areas to decorate besides, of course, the fireplace.<\/p>\n

\nThe little Valentine scroll came from a shop in Greeneville, NC.\u00a0 I’ve purchased so much from this place!\u00a0 You can see their merchandise at 4 Rooms Greenville<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And, then, my fireplace…..<\/p>\n

I’ve had a few people ask about the scrolls over my fireplace.\u00a0 I get them through a really cool shop called cottonwoodshanty.com<\/a> based out of Ohio.\u00a0 They sell so much more than scrolls.\u00a0 Like 4 Rooms Greenville, they have a wonderful selection of home decor items.\u00a0 I found both these stores through people I followed on Instagram.<\/p>\n

All of the candles are LED and have timers.\u00a0 The best invention ever! I set them to automatically come on in the evenings.\u00a0 Zero effort.\u00a0 They look real and bring warmth and beauty to any room.\u00a0 I found them on Amazon as well.<\/p>\n
