We spent Labor Day with the Labradors!\u00a0 Weather was hot AF.\u00a0 Literally.\u00a0 But, as we do, we made the best of it.<\/p>\n

My mouth literally dropped open when I got the first glimpse of the cabin.\u00a0 It is beautiful!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

While Al set up the generator for the air conditioner, I got the bed made, unpacked clothes and loaded up the fridge.\u00a0 (common routine) We then took a walk over to the cabin to anxiously investigate.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I have quickly realized that cabins are very different from a normal house.\u00a0 You have very few walls and random beams that sit around your flooring.\u00a0 This made for some adjusting in our pantry and a few other places.\u00a0 I was so glad to be able to go inspect this before any actual inner walls had been installed.\u00a0 We also realized we inherited some new mountains!\u00a0 Yay!<\/p>\n

As always, Bun, the dutiful dog, waited for us on the bottom floor.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We took a trip to Morristown to check out the grocery store options.\u00a0 Although Morristown is an additional 15 minutes further out it offers way more options for shopping.\u00a0 Morristown had so many options for grocery stores I wanted to go ahead and decide which I would favor beforehand.\u00a0 Food City was the winner.\u00a0 It is very close to a Kroger here.\u00a0 A lot of healthy choices and a large facility.\u00a0 We then went to Longhorns for a date night.\u00a0 \u00a0\ud83d\ude42\u00a0 Ended up spending the evening IN the cabin on the top floor listening to the sounds of nature, looking at the stars with our telescope and candles surrounding us.\u00a0 So relaxing and enjoyable.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Spent one day doing our obligatory mowing.\u00a0 Al actually mowed more than one day.\u00a0 I spent my time watching and loving on the puppies.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Last night was spent by the fire with both dogs beside us.<\/p>\n

Let me be honest, these past few months for me have been very stressful.\u00a0 I’ve spent my time renovating my mom’s condo and getting it ready to sell.\u00a0 On the weekends that Al has been spending at the farm alone,\u00a0 I have been painting rooms and packing our home here.\u00a0 It has really taken a delicate balance for all things to work out smoothly.\u00a0 And it hasn’t always been smooth!\u00a0 I have only had literally days<\/em> that have felt retired and I have accepted the fact that I probably won’t feel totally retired until we are in Tennessee and this house has sold and is behind us.\u00a0 But, in the same breath, my retirement could not have come at the most perfect time.\u00a0 I was able to spend the last month of my mom’s life by her side.\u00a0 Helping out where I could and being where I needed to be on a moments notice.\u00a0 For that I am so grateful that it worked out the way it did. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Oh, Al and I experienced the largest and longest shooting star ever.\u00a0 I was breathless!\u00a0 I cannot wait for this to be my life every day.\u00a0 I don’t know what I did to deserve this small piece of Heaven.\u00a0 God knows my heart and He surely know how utterly grateful I am for His blessings on us.<\/p>\n
